KATHRYN M C MAHON MORNING REFLECTIONS

Before sunrise, this scene caught my eye immediately. As a plein air painter, I travel extensively. With materials on hand, I did some ink, watercolor sketches and took photos. Back in my studio, I painted a larger scene with the foreground reflections, and the blue boat that stood out, using this as a focus for my painting. I added boats in the distance, and the fisherman getting their gear ready for a trip out to sea.
