I t was a hundred degree day, a strong north wind and fifty artists in a dirt parking lot competing in a plein air event in Sedona. Dust swirling, we had to pick out a feature we could see from the bottom of the valley: Red cliffs above, trees and Oak Creek below, I picked out a bluff that the locals nicknamed “Snoopy.” On the top of the ridge above me, a windblown formation which looked like “Woodstock” caught my attention as the lightshifted to full sunlight. I quickly laid in the design and underpaint. The result was this 11” by 14” acrylic and oil jewel.

She was a featured artist in American Art Collector, Southwest Art, Colored Pencil Magazine , and many others.
