The Conversation is of the coffee shop in Terlingua, Texas. I’m a member of the Rattlesnake Gang, a group of artists that meet each year to paint in Big Bend National Park, Texas. Many a conversation of art, lunches shared and paintings were made from this patio. It’s a reminder of the camaraderie and lifelong friendships I share with this wonderful group. I believe this painting tells a story but also lets the viewer create their own story.

MARGIE HILDRETH • WAOW Associate • TX • www.margiehildreth.com Born in San Antonio, Texas, Margie enjoyed drawing in high school. Mainly a studio painter, she also loves to paint outdoors. Her travels have afforded her the opportunity to paint throughout the United States, Italy, Spain and France. Combining her love of travel and painting, Margie is continually looking for a way to express herself through her art. Her focus is to show the contrast between light and shadows in a vibrant format. Margie is a signature member of the Texas Watercolor Society, a member of the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, the American Watercolor Society and the National Watercolor Society.
