One evening in early November, I was driving around a rural area in northern California with an artist friend of mine. We came across a scene with very tall eucalyptus trees and a couple of red-roofed barns. The sun was just about to set and the clouds were amazing with beautiful colors. They glowed with the light of the setting sun and made the whole scene almost seem nostalgic. I knew right then that I wanted to paint this lovely place!
