When looking for places to paint, I tend to seek out quiet scenes...places where I can escape from the constant responsibilities of every day life. Sometimes I need to take a breath of fresh air and feel the warmth of the day envelop me. This view filled those requirements and the painting began with a plein air demonstration for my workshop students. This is a typical Maryland country scene with a man-made lake and farm land in the distance.
