WOMEN ARTISTS OF THE WEST

This beautiful catalog exemplifies the heart of Women Artists of the West (WAOW). For over 53 years we have worked to present the work of women artists through our shows. Women Artists of the West was formed in order to recognize the quality of women artists’ work in what was then a male-dominated art world. Today we are known as the oldest women’s national juried art organization and we continue to work toward more recognition for women in the art world. Our organization’s members are from all parts of the western hemisphere and have been juried into our membership. To be a part of our national shows they are juried again, and to receive awards their work goes through another jury process. The results are in this beautiful catalog. I hope you will enjoy seeing the quality and variety in style, subject matter, and medium in the work that is presented here.

The paintings and sculptures presented in No Place Like Home celebrate people, places, creatures, and moments in our lives.
