Kathy met Loki at a recent art event sponsored by Wing-It, part of Tulsa Audubon Society dedicated to rehabbing orphaned, sick or displaced wildlife. Unfortunately Loki was raised by humans and could not be released back into the wild. Kathy was so taken by his beautiful coloring and regal posing she commemorated him in paint.

Kathy is mostly self taught but has taken many classes and workshops from artist she admires. Her main focus has been on animals and wildlife. Kathy sees the strength and beauty of those animals and strives to show that in her artwork.
