53rd National Show Catalog, "No Place Like Home"

WOMEN ARTISTS OF THE WEST

We welcome you to join us for our 53 rd National Exhibition, “There’s No Place Like Home!” as the Women Artist of the West are headed to the heartland of Americain Newton, Kansas. We are honored to be hosted by Carriage Factory Art Gallery residing in the historic carriage factory building listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Our hearts are full of gratitude for the enthusiasm shown by gallery director Mary Lee-McDonald, the city of Newton and the surrounding area! It’s a great pleasure to help celebrate the Carriage Factory Art Gallery’s 40th anniversary this year. 120 WAOW members have had their best work selected for this exhibit. There will be many opportunities for the public to meet and engage with visiting artists during the events we have planned for opening weekend July 20 -23rd . Our reception and awards ceremony will take place July 22. As a bonus, Newton will be having a 3rd Thursday event July 20 during which WAOW will be sponsoring carriage rides for our members and the public. Visiting and local artists are invited to a nocturnal paint out happening at the same time. A big thank you to all who helped to bring this show together! Now we can share it with you in this wonderful catalog and online at www.waow.org. We hope you can see it in person! If you can’t be there but see a special piece that you would like to purchase, please contact the artist. All sales will be through Carriage Factory Art Gallery. Sold art will remain on display for the duration of the exhibit. Thank you and enjoy!
