Big Storm Coming conveys the beauty along with the ominous specter of a heavy rain storm approaching an open expanse of the western plains. The newly mown yellow field at the horizon catches a brief ray of sun through the clouds that obscure the darker fields in the foreground. The low channel across the field in the foreground will soon be filled with rainwater!
