I painted this in the beautiful area of Monterey CA. I love to paint rocks and particularly red ones, so this was a dream come true, with the weaves hitting the beautiful rocks in the ocean, and all the beauty around me. Painting in plein air is my primary method of painting, and this time, I truly enjoyed the experience.

My style continues to evolve somewhat over the years, but my love of bright colors and western landscape subject matter has remained. My mediums are Pastel, watercolors and watercolor collage, acrylics and oils. My preference is to paint on location in the beautiful out doors, and experience what nature reveals.
