My inspiration for Branding Day comes from being invited every year to a calf branding at the LS Ranch. The LS is owned by 5 Star Parelli Horse Trainer, Dave Ellis and his wife Jody Grimm. lt’s always over the top entertaining because of each year’s diverse personalities doing their thing roping and branding.

With the sta bilization of her homestead, she has found “a return to source” in her artwork, a reconnection with her materials and a “spirit journey” with the animals she documents. Her subject matter has come from her strong link to both the wonder and power of nature.
