PAMELA MANGELSDORF LEONARDO
24” x 36” — Oil $4,500
Leonardo - a beautiful Jaguar-Leopard hybrid - was born into captivity and spent the first 9 years of his life pacing a small cage as part of a roadside zoo to entertain tourists. His canine teeth had been pulled as were all of his claws. He was finally rescued by Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he lived out the remaining 8 years of his life in a loving and caring environment before passing away in 2020. Magnificent is too small a word to describe how regal Leonardo was, and I hope my painting reflects some of his majesty.
