PRIYA AHLAWAT ESPRESSO AND CAPPUCCINO
18” x 24” — Oil $3,100
Espresso and Cappuccino is from my trip to the magical city of Verona in Italy. City so beautiful, it inspired Shakespeare to write one of the most romantic stories of all times: “Romeo and Juliet”. Opened in 1895 in the heart of Verona’s old town centre, Caffè Vittorio Emanuele is one of Verona’s oldest cafés where guests can sit on the city’s famous long marble slabbed sidewalk called ‘Liston’ on Piazza Bra. It faces the iconic Verona Arena Roman Amphitheater, which is the largest open-air Opera theater in the world. The ambience inside is ‘old world’ elegance, thanks to its personnel in elegant uniforms, marble floors and columns, antique chandeliers and the impeccable charm of its guests.
