Whether drawn from a mere glimpse or accumulated over time, I find inspiration in the character emanating from my models share with me. What’s on the canvas may be based on a single animal, or on a composite of several. “Foxtails” refers to both the animal and the vegetation warming in the last of the late afternoon winter sun.
