CAROL LEE THOMPSON THE STORY

CAROL LEE THOMPSON STAMPEDING THE SAGE

I engaged a reenactor friend in his camp. I knew, once relaxed, he would be at his best, telling his stories. He regaled me with wonderful tales and opened his heart in doing so. I needed to paint those moments, those genuine and introspective thoughts.

12” x 16” — Oil $2,500

I had the thrill of attending the country’s largest stampede. I had never experienced such exhilaration. I can still feel the thundering hooves and see the waves of rising dust. An artist must document such life altering events. This painting is dedicated to the loving memory of Donna Marie Hitchens, my fellow adventurer, who was beside me every moment.

10” x 8” — Oil $1,250
