Evening Grasses is a painting from Southwestern Idaho in late September. The river is the Teton River that winds through the valley with a backdrop of the magnificent Teton Mountains. On this particular evening the storm clouds were rolling in and made an incredible scene as they began rolling over the mountains. I knew immediately that I needed to paint it! This is one of my most favorite parts of the country and I hope to do many more paintings of the area.
