It’s a cute little foal with frizzy hair. Who knows what beauty this “ugly duckling” will grow into? While most of my finished work is in oil, I’ve maintained for decades that the strength of any finished piece lies Every now and then I love to make what is normally a preliminary exercise into the star of the show. Sometimes, color emerges best from so-called black and white! in the drawings that underlie it.
