High Noon was inspired from a road trip we took on RT 66. This cactus was in front of an old gas station in Chandler, OK. We stopped the car so I could take numerous photos. I was so taken with the light and shadow playing on the leaves I knew I wanted to memorialize it in paint.

Kathy is mostly self taught but has taken many classes and workshops from artist she admires. Her main focus has been on animals and wildlife.
