I engaged a reenactor friend in his camp. I knew, once relaxed, he would be at his best, telling his stories. He regaled me with wonderful tales and opened his heart in doing so. I needed to paint those moments, those genuine and introspective thoughts.

Carol is a signature member of several prestigious art organizations and has won many awards, including Best in Show for the 52nd WAOW National Exhibition. This is her 27th time being juried into a museum exhibit.
