Boys in the Hood is inspired by the herd of elk that comes through our field on their traditional migration route from the mountains to the lower elevations and back again. These were some of the young bulls who were hanging together, practicing fighting, and checking to see if the girls were impressed.

She spent more than 15 years of her career in design and illustration, but her true dream was to produce her own work. In 2010 she decided to leave the design field to dedicate herself solely to fine art painting.
