Gadwall Dabbler, Oil, 16” x 20” $2,700 Gadwalls are a member of the group of ducks called Dabblers. This female was feeding in a wetland area of Rocky Mountain National Park. I loved the colors and movements of the water and reeds as she made her rounds.

Driving through a popular migration stopover one December I saw many T rumpeter Swans , but the way these three posed while resting and preening in the afternoon was a subject I couldn’t resist.
