This piece was inspired by a girl named Maddie. I did a commission for her parents who have a one thousand acre horse ranch outside of Kansas City. A week after I delivered

that sculpture, they found out that Maddie had Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Maddie’s goal was to barrel race again, and a year and a half later, she did.
