MICHELLE KONDOS MIGHT MAKES RIGHT
18” x 24” — Oil $4,500
When I paint buffalo, sometimes I feel as if I am in a time machine going back to when they ruled the plains of North America. Nowadays I think we tend to forget about their sheer mass, their frightening power, and just how overwhelming a presence they must have been. In creating this painting, I sometimes had the unsettling sense that I was standing too close. I could almost hear them, smell them, and feel the earth shaking beneath my feet.
